The Slipstream: The Cadillac and Flagship of
Longbikes is the ultimate Touring Bicycle without equal. It loves
short jaunts around the neighborhood and quick and comfortable centuries
but calls out for long journeys into new territory. If you want to
travel in comfort and at ease, the Slipstream will take you there. |
The Eliminator G2: Quick, Nimble and Stable.
Is that possible in a SWB? It is with the Eliminator G2.
Designed with both an adjustable Boom and Seat, the G2 can be dialed in
to provide the ultimate riding experience. If you prefer a SWB and
want speed, comfort and quality, there's none better. |

It has been a long time, but we are getting close to
finishing the new site, or at least thinking it is initially completed.
Hopefully it will be up and running yet this week.
I have a Rider Profile Questionnaire available for
any owner who would like to participate (see below). Just drop me an
email and I will send a simple interactive form which you can just email back
along with your photos.
The Jetstream page was updated today and we are
actually finishing up some frames.
Check in for the new site, a completely new look
with some surprising announcements.
One big
announcement is that after several years of dealing with Taiwan on frames, we
have decided to bring our frame production back in house. We actually
did this back around the first of the year. There are still some Taiwan
Gulfstream frames, but everything else is done 100% in house and welded by

As promised, we are working on
a complete make over of this website. Bill and I are working on it with
the anticipation of having it finished at the end of the year. One
thing which it will include is a rider profile section. This section is
intended to become a communication channel for Longbikes owners and those
looking to become Longbikes owners. Each page will feature an existing
Longbikes owner, telling their story with words and photos...this is why I
have been pleading for photos. Additionally it will contain an email
link to the person profiled on that page so that the rider may be contacted
by interested parties and other Longbikes owners. Many people who I
have talked to about this plan are excited to participate. If you are
interested and would like to apply, email me or I will have a form for you to
download soon...Greg

Larry did call and ordered his
Slipstream. It will ship in a few days, thanks Larry.
September 6, 2007
Something a little uncommon
happened the night of the 5th. I received an email from
"Larry" wanting to buy a Slipstream, and needed a final
price. I clicked the reply button on Outlook and sent him the needed
information. A short while later, the email bounced back
undeliverable. I tried again by typing in his address, same
thing. Now Larry is thinking I ignored him and don't want his
business... WRONG!
So, Larry if you are listening, call me or email me with your phone number
and I will be glad to call you. I check my email several times per day
and do my best to respond promptly. There are some times when a phone
call works more efficiently than emails, so please provide me with a phone
number when inquiring and don't be surprised to pick up the phone and here
" Hi, this is Greg at Longbikes"! August
31st
I just received a great set of pictures from a local
Slipstream customer taken on his ride the day before. Anyone who thinks
a recumbent or specifically a Slipstream will not climb needs to look at
these. Max took his Rohloff equipped Slipstream for a little ride
Thursday up Mount Evans. This little spin up to 14,260 feet above sea
level should prove otherwise. We will get pictures up shortly.
You can check out Mt. Evans at www.mountevans.com
then click on the bike page for more information.
I would appreciate photos from any Longbikes or older Ryan
owners. Please send photos of you riding your bike. We have lots
of bike pictures, what we need are photos of people using their bikes.

Several interesting things are happening at
Longbikes. Primarily we are starting to get ready for next year.
There will be lots of new and exciting things to talk about...but you will
have to wait until they are done. We are planning a serious revamp of
the website. I don't know if it will be a make over with several
additions, or a compete redo.
In preparation for the website changes, I would like
to ask that all Longbikes owners send me an email so that I can get back in
touch with you later.
Product upgrade announcement:
Slipstream owners, if you have had problems with your ESGE 2 leg kickstand
not staying tight to the frame, I finally made some reinforcing adapters
which beef up the kickstand bridge and eliminate the problem of the kickstand
rotating. We will have a small quantity on the shelf in a few days when
they come back from anodizing. If you need or want to upgrade to these,
drop me a note and we can get them to you. I will determine the price
and get photos on the site sometime later this week

Believe it or not, I have
started to update the site, long overdue.
April 20, 2007
I have been through all of the pages, they all have the correct address
on the now. The options page has been expanded a bit to include Rohloff
hubs, Schwalbe tires, some crank options and more. More to come.
